ruth bought chris steakhouse, with the stipulation that she would keep the name. it got famous. it burned down. she wanted to rebuild, but the name chris steakhouse couldn’t be used anywhere else – so she went with “ruth’s chris.” … i guess. it’s kind of like the jackson 5?
